Our 7 pillars for a more sustainable future: from material innovation to waste reduction, our commitment to the environment

We exclusively use water-based colors for printing as a sustainable choice.

An innovative solution that reflects our ethical values and our responsibility towards the planet and people.

An environmental benefit: choosing water-based colors significantly reduces the environmental impact of production. Unlike traditional chemical solvent-based inks, this technology does not release harmful substances into the atmosphere, greatly reducing emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), which are responsible for pollution and deterioration of the ozone layer. Additionally, the absence of harmful plasticizing substances contributes to reduced water contamination and makes the disposal of printed materials more sustainable.

Safety and well-being for people: using water-based colors ensures a safer production process for our artisans and produces fabrics that are gentle on the skin, suitable for everyone. Water-based colors are non-toxic, making them safe for the skin and ideal even for garments intended for young children. They offer a better tactile sensation, as they do not form the typical plastic film common with some traditional inks. They provide enhanced workplace safety due to their low volatility, reducing the risk of inhaling harmful substances and lowering the risk of fires.

Longer-lasting and better printing quality: Water-based solvents allow the ink to penetrate more deeply into fabric fibers. This ensures colors that last longer and offer higher quality compared to plastic-based inks such as Plastisol.

In the textile dyeing sector, water usage is one of the main environmental concerns, due to its heavy consumption and the pollution of wastewater resulting from the use of dyes and chemicals.

To reduce our environmental impact, we have implemented a closed-loop purification system that allows us to reuse all the water employed in our production processes.

An advanced purification system for sustainability: our approach includes two purification stages. The first stage removes larger impurities and chemical residues, followed by an osmotic purification process. This second phase produces purified, contaminant-free water, which can be reused in the production cycle without compromising process quality. Thanks to this system, we not only reduce water consumption but also lower the costs associated with wastewater disposal.

Environmental benefits of closed-loop water reuse in the production process

Natural resource savings: up to a 70% reduction in water consumption, thanks to purification and reuse at various stages of the production process.

Minimizing environmental impact: up to a 90% reduction in wastewater through dual purification, significantly cutting water pollution.

Economic efficiency: lower costs for wastewater management and chemical treatments, with potential savings of up to 30%.

Long-term sustainability: an ecological approach that helps preserve water resources and reduce pollutant emissions, ensuring responsible water use in the long run.

A concrete solution to enhance the sustainability of production activities by reducing both resource consumption and environmental impact.

For our products, we exclusively select natural fibers, such as cotton and linen, which provide comfort, breathability, and sustainability.

Our commitment involves continual research and experimentation with new natural and eco-friendly materials, aimed at providing ever more innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions.

Recently, we introduced ramie, a fiber derived from nettles, as part of our ongoing exploration of sustainable alternatives that combine quality and well-being. The advantages of natural fabrics include being biodegradable and hypoallergenic, as well as supporting body temperature regulation, ensuring comfort and well-being in every season. Furthermore, thanks to their breathability and durability, they reduce long-term resource consumption and contribute to a more sustainable approach to fashion.

According to a report by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, one truckload of textile waste is disposed of or burned every second. Discarded fabrics, commonly found in deserts like Chile’s Atacama, take hundreds of years to decompose, causing harm to ecosystems and water sources.

In our production process, we don't believe in waste. Every piece of fabric, even the smallest scrap, is repurposed and used to create accessories, preventing the generation of waste.

Optimizing materials is a priority for us: leftover fabrics from larger products are transformed into smaller items, minimizing our environmental impact. This attention to detail not only reduces resource consumption but also enables the creation of unique, sustainable accessories, ensuring that every part of the material is put to good use. By adopting this approach, every scrap becomes an opportunity, reinforcing our commitment to a more responsible and conscientious production process.

We are constantly committed to ensuring the quality of our products, respecting the environment, and promoting responsible production practices.

For this reason, we have adopted an innovative solution to reuse leftover dyes during the printing phase, minimizing environmental impact and optimizing resource usage.

We are constantly committed to ensuring the quality of our products while respecting the environment and promoting responsible production practices. For this reason, we have adopted an innovative solution to reuse leftover dyes during the printing phase, minimizing environmental impact and optimizing resource usage.

An environmental benefit: reusing leftover dyes in printing allows us to significantly reduce the amount of waste produced. Unlike traditional disposal practices, where surplus dyes are treated as waste, this technology enables us to fully repurpose them, turning them into new multicolor textures. This prevents the release of chemical substances into the environment, reduces industrial waste, and limits the need to produce new pigments, thereby cutting the ecological impact of production.

Resource efficiency and sustainability: by reusing leftover dyes, we optimize resource use, prevent waste, and reduce the consumption of new materials. Recovering surplus dyes lowers the need for additional paint purchases, conserving valuable natural resources and enhancing the efficiency of the production process. This approach also increases the economic sustainability of our entire production cycle.

A positive impact on design and creativity: reusing leftover dyes not only cuts down on waste, but also fosters innovation in textile design. The multicolor textures produced by reusing dyes give each product unique value, creating artistic pieces that blend sustainability and creativity. Every dye residue becomes an opportunity to create new, distinctive patterns that enrich our offerings and contribute to a high-quality final product.

Safety and well-being: in addition to environmental benefits, our dye reuse process also improves the well-being of those working with our products. Avoiding the release of hazardous chemicals during printing reduces the risks associated with exposure to harmful volatile compounds, thereby enhancing workplace safety.

Our passion for design and quality merges with our dedication to sustainability and respect for tradition. Each product we create is the result of a unique blend of innovation and craftsmanship that celebrates Sicilian heritage and preserves a historic printing technique: manual screen printing.

Thanks to the expertise of our skilled artisans, we carry on a centuries-old tradition, crafting each piece with care, precision, and a love for detail.

Promoting local heritage and production: We take pride in producing in Sicily, a land rich in history, culture, and tradition. Our decision to establish our operations here is not only an expression of love for our homeland but also a concrete commitment to supporting the local economy. We partner with educational institutions and local businesses, offering internships and training to young Sicilian talent, thereby creating a virtuous cycle that fosters artisanal know-how and secures a future for local traditions. Whether it’s a beach towel, a pareo, a bag, or even a textile artwork, each product embodies the intrinsic value of Sicily: the craftsmanship, the passion for handmade work, and the beauty of its landscapes and traditions. We collaborate with local youth to ensure this art is never lost but instead passed on to future generations.

Handcrafted production and manual screen printing: The printing method we use is manual screen printing—an ancient technique requiring patience, skill, and meticulous attention to detail. It’s not an industrial process but one performed entirely by hand, where every gesture and choice is essential to achieving a perfect result. Our artisans, skilled in their craft, carefully execute each print, checking every detail—from the pressure of their hands to the amount of ink—to ensure a flawless outcome every time. Every product that leaves our workshop is truly one-of-a-kind: the artisan’s touch is imprinted on each piece, making sure that, even when using the same design, no two items are ever exactly alike. It is precisely this uniqueness that brings value to our work and makes it special.

We believe that every detail matters, even when it comes to packaging.

For this reason, we have chosen to adopt sustainable packaging solutions, prioritizing recyclable and biodegradable materials.

Our commitment to the environment is reflected not only in our products, but also in how we package and deliver them. We use packaging that is as eco-friendly as possible, reducing environmental impact and contributing to a greener future, ensuring that every stage of our production process respects nature and the planet’s resources.
